Nathalie COLLÉ is a senior lecturer in English Studies at the Université de Lorraine in Nancy, France. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International John Bunyan Society and the editor of The Recorder, its newsletter. The author of a doctoral thesis on the illustrated editions of The Pilgrim's Progress, she specialises in the illustration of classics of English literature. The fields covered by her research include book history, reading and reception, and text-image relationships.
