Résumé
Les actes des rencontres de l'ASWA VIII qui se sont tenues à Lyon du 28 juin au 1er juillet 2006 réunissent trente articles en anglais ou en français correspondant aux travaux récents de chercheurs archéozoologues qui travaillent à l'Est de la Méditerranée.Les thèmes abordés couvrent un espace temporel qui va du Paléolithique aux périodes médiévales et un espace géographique qui, sauf à une exception (Java), s'étend de l'Iran à la Méditerranée orientale et de l'Égypte à l'Arménie, avec comme point fort le Proche-Orient. Même si la majorité des contributions s'appuie sur l'étude des restes fossiles d'animaux, certaines sont aussi orientées par des recherches textuelles ou iconographiques. Ces contributions proposent soit les résultats d'études archéozoologiques, soit des analyses régionales comparatives, soit encore des présentations de sujets spécifiques ou des synthèses. Des articles présentent aussi les résultats d'investigations méthodologiques menées à l'aide des analyses statistiques, des analyses biométriques ou encore biochimiques.The acts of the ASWA VIII meetings which took place at Lyon from June 28 to July 1, 2006, consist of thirty articles in English or French concerning the recent research of specialists in archaeozoology who work in the eastern Mediterranean region.The subjects of these contributions cover a time range from the Palaeolithic to medieval periods and a geographical area from Iran to the eastern Mediterranean and from Egypt to Armenia, with a strong accent on the Near East (with one exception – Java). Even though the majority of the contributions are based on the study of animal remains, some of them concern textual or iconographic research. These contributions present the results of both archaeozoological studies and comparative regional analyses, as well as subjects which are specific or synthesizing. The results of methodological investigations carried out with the aid of statistical analyses and biometric and biochemical analyses are also presented.

Recommandations
